Yesterday we had a tiring day at Nami Island so our itinerary for today is just to rest and roam a little bit in Seoul. Today is Sunday so we plan to go to a Catholic church near in Seoul and we find this church also known as the Filipino church.
Hyehwa Catholic Church
One best landmark at Hyehwa-dong is this Filipino Catholic church that stands tall and strong in the heart of the city. I didn’t had the chance to take photos inside the church since the mass is already started. All the songs are Tagalog, the Choir members sung it beautifully and the priest gave a very nice homily. Such a perfect mass. Make sure you will arrive the church 30 minutes before it starts.
How to get here:

This church is so popular that Filipino visit this every Sunday to attend a mass. If you will go there, this is the best place for meeting your old good friends now living here in South Korea just like what happened to Chad. He met his elementary schoolmate when he was young. Small world isn’t it?

Filipino Market
If you are a Filipino or have a Filipino soul (hehe) and you crave some Filipino foods, well this place is the answer for your cravings. Every Sunday you will see these food stalls selling Philippines delicacies and Filipino street foods. To be honest, the foods there are quite expensive maybe because this is the only place you will find the Filipino foods so make sure mark your calendar on Sundays to visit this place. The market opens every Sunday at 09:00 am until 5:00 pm.

Philippine restaurants
Chad’s friend invited us to try this Filipino restaurant. You can find this at the opposite of the Philippine market.

Kainan sa Hyewa the food was nice, so Filipino, but the ambiance is not that great. You need a few steps to go down so not applicable for those who has a baby stroller just like us but if you want to try this one, it’s up to you then. The place is too crowded and not that spacious enough to fit a lot of people.

There’s another Filipino restaurant you will see near at the Kainan s Hyewa.
