Must-Buy Food Items from South Korea’s LOTTE Mart

As a Filipina, it’s our usual thing to do when we came to a country, it’s a must to buy some of their local foods so you can bring it to your family and friends, in short, we called it as a “pasalubong”. Make sure to buy some of it before the day of your departure. One of the best to buy some of pasalubong’s are in Lotte Mart. We went to Seoul Station which is we heard that it’s the main branch of Lotte Mart but there’s a lot of Lotte branches all over South Korea so you won’t be worry to travel a long ride.
When we arrived to Lotte Mart I’m so surprised and I want to try everything, I wanted to buy everything. I was in a paradise for Korean snacks and everything on the shelves just looked so good! You will definitely enjoy shopping here since there’s a lot of free taste too choose from. Korean’s we’re so nice they didn’t even get mad if I keep on having a free taste! LOL! So enjoy shopping at Lotte! 📷

1. Tteokbokki crackers
It’s a tteokbokki or spicy Korean rice cakes that you can find along the streets, but in cracker form. Finger-lickin’ sweet and not that too spicy though.

2. Cracker nuts
Since I love nuts, this is one of my favorite. It’s not just an ordinary cracker nuts but it taste really good.

3. Aytime Candies
This is not just any candy, it’s different from others. There’s a special middle layer, and the only way I can describe it is “cooling”. It comes in three flavors: Bluemarine, Milk Mint and Lemon Mint.

4. Maxbon
It’s a Korean cheese sausage that local kids do really love and even adults. This is Raf’s favorite so we bought this just for him. I also notice that Maxbon is also the favorite snack of the leading lady, Lee Sung-Kyung in the Kdrama series, Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok Joo.

5. Crown Butter Waffles
Buttery, thick and crunchy, perfect match for coffee.

6. Lotte Chocolate ABC
One of the best chocolate we’ve ever tasted! Not that too sweet but has that rich milk chocolate goodness.

7. Seaweed Crisps
Sheets of dried and roasted seaweed that come with a variety of seasonings and are packaged like crackers. One of my favorite! It comes with different flavours; Almond, Almond wasabi and fish.

8. Market O Real Cheese chips
It’s a round shaped chips and all over was poured by the cheese flavoring. Cheese lovers will not be able to resist this.

9. Market O Real Brownie
If you’re thinking a normal brownie, yes it is. But the chocolate is pure and It has the taste of an alcoholic ingredient but I’m not sure if it really does. Taste really delicious and a perfect blend for a cup of macchiatto.

10. Market O Real Brownie (Matcha flavor)
Same texture and style of the other flavor but this one is Matcha. Inside of it has a chocolate chips that comes with a perfect blend of Matcha and chocolate chips. Perfect for a cup of hot chocolate!

11. Orion Moist and Chewy Cake
It’s a fish shaped cakes that the red bean sauce has a chocolatey tinge. Kids would also love this because of the textured wrappers with adorable prints.

12. Honey Butter Almond
This is one of the best seller in Lotte. We are so curious why everyone’s cart has this and not just one but more than 3-6 packs which is we also tried this one. It’s quite expensive but as far as I heard this is much cheaper compared to buying it in Singapore. if you are a nut lover, you will definitely love this!

13. Fire Noodles
Don’t forget to buy some of their local noodles. Probably you will see this on your country’s grocery stores but of course, it is much cheaper and lots to choose from.

14. Choice L Assorted cakes
It’s a red bean filling that has comes with different colors and cute packaging. One of the best to buy for a pasalubong.

15. All sorts of seaweed
There’s a whole section in Lotte Mart dedicated to seaweed. GO CRAZY!

16. Binggrae Banana Flavoured Milk
Korea’s banana-infused milk is a drink that is much loved by Koreans and even the tourist, like us! Same as the yakult packaging but this is more bigger than yakult. Available in strawberry, light, and honey lemon flavours too.

17. Sweet Pudding
There’s a tons of delicious puddings in Lotte Mart. It comes in fancy flavours like Honey & Creme Blanche, Caramel Milk & Egg, Cheese Mascarpone & Cream and Cream & Mustard. YUM!

18. Ghana Chocolates
Ghana is a product of Lotte. It is actually a popular Japanese chocolate brand. I haven’t seen this chocolate bar in Manila or in Doha. Supermarkets or groceries usually only have the Meiji’s so make sure to try this one. Lotte’s Ghana is marketed as having extra cacao with a tagline of “The authentic rich flavor of cacao.”

By the way, if you will buy a lot of Lotte items, you must go to their packaging station and you will be the one to pack your own items. The box and tapes are free so you can use it as much as you needed.
