02 March 2017 (Thursday)
It’s almost weekend so meaning, Family time! And I heard that there’s a newly opened here in Doha and it’s called Magical Festival Village and can be found in Katara behind the St. Regis Hotel. The Village is open yearly between January to April. No entrance fee needed, absolutely free and it opens at 2pm to 10pm on Sundays to Thursdays, and 2pm to 11pm for Fridays & Saturdays.
The main entrance is really stunning because of the Village theme which is the Castle. If you’re planning to visit here, much better if you come around by day time and weekdays. Less people and less traffic especially if you have a car.

They have these artificial grass decorations of different kind of animals, horses, camel, dolphins, etc.

Even Shaun the Sheep is here!

The Village has many things to visit, they have rides, restaurants, coffee shops and more.
📷
They also organized shows and you can buy your tickets in Virgin, Q-Tickets or even inside of the Village. But as far as I know, they have a Circus show starts by the 15th March until 30th March 2017.

While we keep on roaming inside the Village, you can see beautiful and colorful decorations that can be found around at the shopping area. Best to capture these at nights (like the photos below).

At the end of the Village, you can found this stunning castle which we thought it’s a souvenir shop but a restaurant. Honestly, I’m amazed that they had this kind of idea, inside the castle and you can see a restaurant? Cute and cool. =)
📷
The restaurant theme is Alice in Wonderland, the price was quite pricey so we didn’t had the chance to try it.

At the center of the Village, you can found there a bunch of food stalls, burgers, pasta’s and many more to choose from. It has also a dancing fountains to entertain you while having you’re dinner.

Platinum Pizzeria
Margherita Pizza for 29 QR, add toppings – Proteins: 5 QR Vegetables: 3 QR
which is they’ve mention that this is their best seller, well it taste good but not that great and not satisfying. Rating: 4/10

Penne with White Sauce for 19 QR add toppings – Proteins: 5 QR Vegetables: 3 QR
I can say that this is a must try pasta here in the Magical Village, it catches my taste and the sauce is so perfect. We added Mushroom & chicken for the best result. Rating: 8/10

As you can see this is their coffee zone, you can find here the desserts, coffee’s and sweet treats.

Rides & Games
There’s a gaming area that can really enjoy your kids especially most of it are on 3D. You must have their gaming card cost 100 QR that can be used for all the games inside the Village.
📷
On the outside, it has many rides too and suitable for all ages.

Mini’s Doha
Before heading back home, we tried this Mini’s Doha and of course, it wouldn’t be complete without a coffee. I got a Cappuccino for 10 QR and for the Mini Pancakes, we ordered the Mini’s Original with Maple syrup for 20 QR. The coffee is just a normal cappuccino while the Mini’s cupcake tastes perfectly fine.

And I almost forgot, do you still remember the Alice in Wonderland castle? Before you passed by there, you can see a spooky but cute tree that keeps moving his eyes that looks like it’s really alive.
