Birthday celebration at Intercontinental Hotel Doha

We normally throw a party for our kid special occasion which is their birthdays and doing games and prizes. Sometimes we spend most of our days doing the decorations, preparing for the foods, etc. Of course we want to give everything for our kids, right? And this time, our little boy is turning two! So instead of having a birthday party we thought what is Raf wants to do on his special day? Well, he really loves to stay in the water for hours and there’s only one thing in my mind and that is… Swimming and playing in the beach sand with his toys.

We look everywhere in the internet and finally we found a great place to stay which is the Intercontinental Hotel Doha. It’s a 5 star Hotel located in the West bay Lagoon that has 46 floors, Full Gym, Spa, Swimming Pool, Private beach, Sauna and Jacuzzi on the 46th floor. Superior City View Room

Just sharing our experience here, I really love the room, spacious with plenty of amenities, very clean and comfortable. It’s a connecting room so there’s also a guest next to us. But from the very start of our stay, the guest keeps on complaining because he can hear a child noise which is my son. He can’t sleep because my son is noisy and keep running around. He always complaining starting from 10am upto 6pm. So I talked to the Duty Manager to transfer us to other room but he declined maybe because there’s no available room as of that moment and I think it’s very unreasonable to complain a child especially by during that time of day. My son didn’t make any noise when he knew that it’s already bedtime. We also paid for our room, duh? So finally, I talked to one of the Duty Manager (again) but this time it’s a Filipino and he said that the guest is an airline crew so that’s why he needs to take a rest. So why they transfer him anyway? But he keeps on apologizing to us because of the arrogant guest next to our room. So he insist us to extend our stay until 5pm but we declined his offer because Chad has a shift by 2pm. I forgot the name of the Filipino guy but I thank him for understanding us because he is a parent too.

Normally in a Hotel, it’s either a bath tub or a shower room, but here in Intercontinental, they have it BOTH!

Pool & Beach

I never felt this so good! Feels like you’re not in Doha, it’s a paradise! One of the best pool and beach we had ever been. If you are stress for the whole week, this is the best break to getaway for a quick day of relaxation. The Hotel offers a Pool and Beach day pass for everyone.

I’ve never liked some of the beaches here in Doha simply because most doesn’t meet my beach standards, but this one is truly amazing! Everything was so perfect, the sand, the ocean and the weather. That’s why Raf spent his time playing in the sand which his favorite thing to do!

GYM

As you can see, NO PHONE ZONE but still I just had some quick shot so I can add this on my post, hihihi! They have complete full equipment and very spacious gym.

One of my favorite gym equipment is the Treadmill and you can enjoy your workout while watching your favorite movie or tv shows.
