It was our 5th day in Rome and we we’re in Vatican city that day, visited the Vatican Museum and Sistine Chapel for free, personally seen Michelangelo’s famous paintings, meet the Pope for the first time even though we we’re miles apart, lots of tourist and locals we’re there and we felt exhausted and our tummy was crumbling. Around the Vatican museum you’ll find a lot of restaurants to choose from, Italian, French, Asian restaurants and many more. But since we we’re really starving, there’s a Filipino guy whose really nice and he even tell us where is the best place to eat and we didn’t expect that it’s buffet and more surprisingly, it’s a Filipino restaurant!
He told us where is the way thru our navigator map and it’s just a 10 minutes walk from the Vatican Museum: Via Germanico, Metropolitan City of Rome, Italy
Neighborhood Filipino and Oriental Cuisine
Their buffet is served during lunch on Sundays and I can say we are so lucky to visit the Vatican city! They also serve daily meals except Mondays but if you’re really craving Filipino dishes just like us, this is a must to try!

The buffet starts at 12:00 PM so make sure you’ll come by here 30 minutes before. 13 euros or 16 dollars for a buffet per head? Not bad, right?

The Neighborhood restaurant is a Filipino and Kapampangan cuisine. For those who doesn’t know what the Kapampangan is, it is a language spoken by the province of Pampanga and Kapampangan dishes are really one of the best!

We we’re so excited to try their menus because most of it are PORK! (Since we are living in Doha, Pork is not allowed for public markets and it’s quite expensive to buy pork so this is the reason why we are so excited about it! Haha!) The foods are great and delicious and lots of choices of dish.

The place is neat, spacious and the ambiance is great. The staff are nice they even gave us a soup and meat to take out for Rafael because he was asleep for the whole time.

They also served desserts and fruits that makes our tummy full! If ever we’ll visit Vatican again, I would definitely come back here! Of course, on Sundays! Hahaha! 📷
