Day 04 – 19th of December 2016

Another big day for us and this time we didn’t went for a long drive, so we roam around the beautiful city of Tbilisi. But I tell you this is the most tiring tour we ever had in Georgia so make sure you have a lot of energy. Don’t bring too much things that you don’t actually need, but you must have drinking water & tissue at all times and make sure you are comfortable with your attire especially the shoes. Wearing heels is not applicable.

Sameba Church

Our first itinerary was the biggest and tallest church in Georgia for about 101 meters high. A breathtaking and beautiful Cathedral. We came here on the morning time but I heard that it’s more beautiful if you will visit on the evening. It’s a must see in Tbilisi Georgia because the view is awesome and the golden dome can be seen anywhere around Tbilisi so make sure you visit it.

But how come my boys was only in the picture and where the heck am I at this moment? haha!

Peace Bridge

Another one of eye catching tourist spot in Tbilisi, Bridge of peace. It is a bow-shaped pedestrian bridge, a steal and glass construction illuminated with numerous LED’s, over the Kura river in downtown Tbilisi, capital of Georgia. This is one of the most wonderful modern bridges we have ever visited, the location is outstanding and the views from it are spectacular. Best time to go there? Sunrise, sunset or in the middle of the night!

📷

Rike Park

After crossing thru the peace bridge, you can see the Rike park. The location of the park is awesome because it has Unity bridge and Aerial Cable car taking you to Botanical Gardens, Narikala Fortress and Mother of Georgia Statue.

📷

Cable Car

Of course, you can’t complete your tbilisi day tour without riding the cable car. And it’s absolutely awesome! It’s breathtaking experience because seeing a beautiful like this is irresistible!

📷

After the cable car experience, we’ve been to Narikala fortress & Mother of Georgia statue. You can also ride for another Cable car if you don’t want to pass by some of the tourist spot, but as a first timer tourist in Georgia, it’s a must for us to visit all of it.

📷

and while we’re enjoying the view, we saw this adorable & friendly animals. Actually, taking photos with them is not for free. 5 gel per animal. Well business is business, eh?

📷

Gabriadze Theatre

Our tour is not done yet, and actually I’m quite hungry at this moment because of our continuously walking galore. We passed by at the Gabriadze Theatre and as you can see, it makes more stunning because of the unique clock tower which is part of the theatre, but we didn’t had the chance to visit the performance. The time of the show starts at 11am ’til 7pm and it’s closed during July to August. 10-30 gel for the admission fee.

📷

Sulfur Bath

Before we had our lunch, we visited the hot mineral springs contributed the development of the city and the construction of sulfur baths. The number of Sulfur springs flowing from Mount Tabor is huge. In the eastern part of the Great Fortress the water is coming from the earth so hot you can even cook sheep’s head and legs. This is healthful hot springs with built domes over them. But I promise to myself that I will give myself a treat to try this famous Sulfur bath in Georgia if we had a chance to go back here again. Inshallah.

📷

On the right of the street, you can easily found lots of souvenir shops that sells different kind of stuff, but make sure you have a Georgian tour guide or a friend who can ask the sales lady for the discount.

📷

And finally, we had our perfect lunch at Seidabadi. This is recommended by our tour coordinator which is really recommendable because of the ambiance, service and of course, the food!

📷

This is their table set up and looks dramatically elegant.

📷

This is us. Well I’m the one who took the picture so I’m still included. lol. With our handsome and entertaining driver, Giga (first on the left), and our pretty tour guide Anna (in the middle), together with our Doha friends and new found friends from Dubai.

📷

Fried potatoes in Moroccan style for 7 gel. A perfect appetizer and it became more interesting because of the spices added on the fries.

📷

Kachapuri Imeruli for 10 gel. The cheese is quite salty but still looks good.

📷

Kachapuri Megruli for 12 gel. This Kachapuri has many cheese on the inside and even on the outside. Why I love kachapuri’s? It’s because of the ultimate and heavenly taste of the cheese that blends on their soft dough. So cheesy isn’t it?

📷

Fried chicken in garlic sauce for 20 gel. Seidabadi is also serving rice so if you’re gonna try this menu, you better have a rice so it will be a perfect match.

📷

Turkey barbecue for 13 gel. Georgian loves barbecue so much especially for the pork. So this time we tried the Turkey and it was okay but the food price here is quite higher.

📷

And for additional info that catch my attention was their restroom. It’s not just clean or what but it’s because of their toilet bowl has a plastic seat cover on it. Each time you press the button a new roll will cover your seat so you will be the first to use it. All restaurant even fast foods must have this Worldwide!

📷

Funicular 111 & Mtatsminda Park

After having a great meal, we went to Funicular 111 train that rides to the top of Holy mountain which can be found the Mtatsminda Park. 2 gel per ride.

📷

This is the way to go inside of Funicular.

📷

As you can see the style of the train that goes up and down that looks like a roller coaster. The speed level is moderate so everyone is applicable to try this one.

📷

And here it is, the Mtatsminda Park. Mtatsminda is the mountain topped by the 210m-high TV mast that overlooks central Tbilisi and we didn’t thought that this park is an Amusement park which is makes me WOW! Cool right?! But I think this park must be visited in summer or spring. In winter you cannot realize it’s full potential. But it’s a beautiful park offering amazing views of the surroundings.

📷

📷

📷

Well looks like the kids are enjoying the bump car, right? Oh I mean, adults. lol!

📷

Visiting the Mtatsminda park is a complete package for a very affordable price because of the surrounding, rides and especially staring at the view from up to the mountain down to the Tbilisi town.

📷

After a long tiring day, we arrived to our Hotel and I almost forgot to share this that London Palace have room cleaning & also change the towels every single day. So I highly recommended this Hotel because of their cleanliness and perfect in customer service.
