Dongdaemun History & Culture Park
After at the Philippine Market, since the weather is nice, we had a chance to walk from Hyewa going to Dongdaemun. Silly right? HAHA! Walking is the best exercise don’t you know!? 📷 We passed by this places and as you can see Korea is so neat and clean. Wish that Philippines would be like this, so jealous!

Finally we’re arrived at Dongdaemun History & Culture Park, it is quite pleasant place to spend a bit of time walking round, a good few photo opportunities. We went inside and walked around some of the shops, but wasn’t impressed with the shops, but it was quite busy, so I suspect they are popular with the locals.
How to get here:
Coming by subway, Dongdaemun History & Culture Park Station (on Lines 2, 4 & 5) is where to get off.
📷
You will see this place of some Kdrama scenes, like The Descendant of the Sun.

While exploring Dongdaemun, we passed by this market, (opposite of Dongdaemun History & Culture park) that has a varieties from clothing, socks, tools and a lot more which gives a good selling price. If you’re a shopper, this is a must list visit for you to shop. There’s also a street foods along the way so no worries if you felt hungry.

LED Flowers in Dongdaemun
While you roam around at Dondaemun plaza, you will notice this 21,000 LED lit roses onto its rooftop park. By day, it’s an exquisite rose garden of human creativity, steady hands and careful diligence.

And by night, it’s a dazzling nebula of luminous fairy lights set against the neofuturistic lines of designer Zaha Hadid’s urban landmark. Best time to see this around 7:00 pm.

Lotte World Tower opening ceremony fireworks 2017
From Dongdaemun to Jamsil station (Line 2) Exit 4 just past McDonald’s and turn Left at the next large road, then walk 5~10 minutes going to Lotte World Tower. The firework starts at 9:00 pm and we arrived at the Lotte World around 8:30 pm and it’s really crowded which is you can’t move properly that make us feel like we’re a sardines in small can, well this might be a once-in-a-lifetime event but definitely we will never attend any of it, ever again! The streets are full of people and some of the crowds are barbarian that they doesn’t even think we had a toddler they only think for themselves.
Lotte World Tower fireworks display worth 4 billion won ($3.6 million) but what happened below in the Jamsil entertainment district was an ugly jumble of people, cars, etc.
📷
It was not a continuous show total of 10 minutes but we still enjoyed it even the locals. I think Korean loves fireworks too much ’cause they felt amazed and keep on saying “Wow, whoa!” Haha. As a Filipina, the fireworks are so normal for us since every year we used firecrackers to celebrate New year’s eve.
