Day 3 (29th March 2017)

You can visit Gyeongbokgung Palace, Samcheongdong Palace and Bukchon Hanok Village in one day, but this itinerary I posted is only applicable for those who travel with a toddler/s. Because these places are one of the best tourist spots in Seoul so you need to prepare for the long walk and crowded people.

How to get here:

From Wangsimni station take the Line 2 and drop off at the Euljiro 3(sam)-ga. Then you transfer to Line 3 going to Anguk Station.  From Exit # 2 of Anguk Station walk straight for approx. 700 m.

Hanbok Rentals

Before heading to Bukchon, we saw beautiful girls wearing a Hanbok outfit. Hanbok is characterized by vibrant colors and simple lines without pockets. It is the cultural clothing of Korea, was established as a part of their unique living culture. Usually refers specifically to clothing of the Joseon period and is worn as semi-formal or formal wear during traditional festivals and celebrations. Along the streets going to Bukchon, you can see so many Hanbok rental shops but some of the price are kind of expensive. So we found this!

This is their price which is better than the other shops. We rent our Hanbok for 4 hours for KRW 15,000.

They have variety Hanbok to choose from starting from 2 years old.

This is for all the ladies who wants to fix their hair and do the make-ups.

📷

All of their accessories and bags are all free to use if you rent their Hanbok. Take as much as you want but you need to take care of them or else you will pay for the damage.

Where to find this? Here is the location map.

Bukchon Hanok Village

Hanok is Korean traditional houses and Bukchon is where the aristocratic classes lived during the Joseon Dynasty. Certain hanoks are still resident occupied while most of it were converted into chic galleries, restaurants, cafés and accessory shops. The Village consists of many hilly slops and small alleys and make sure to pick up a map before you wander around.

One of the best spot in Bukchon to take photos. I’m so inlove with my Hanbok!

Nice posing Raf! Haha!

It’s still a residential area so remember to keep your volume down!

In the olden days, servants need to go through the smaller door while the masters use the main door.

Beautiful local houses. Wish I had the chance to go inside!

Here’s one of the most seen and famous photo spots especially for the couples. Lovers in Korea <3

Of course, shopping is my thing! I almost forgot that some of the clothing shops are not allowing the buyers to fit their clothes unless your going to buy it.
