Day 01 - 16th of December 2016
Planning a vacation is easy but deciding where to go is quite difficult. We want to explore something new before the year ends so the first thing comes into our minds is snow. So we looked all over the google which is the best and affordable place that we can travel, and we saw the beautiful country of Tbilisi, Georgia. It's Visa-free for Filipinos with residence visa in Doha. Short haul flight of less than 6 hours from Doha to its capital city, Tbilisi.
Georgia Package
We avail our package tour in Kabayans and Pinoys in Tbilisi, Georgia. The package includes Hotel, airport roundtrip transfer & a 4 days tour (first and last day is our free day total of 6 days in Georgia) which is affordable and we really enjoyed their service and also the tour. We avail our tickets under staff of Qatar Airways which is cheaper than the normal rate so we saved a lot of money. =)
We checked-in at the London Palace Hotel and stayed there for about 6 days. The Hotel is near to grocery stores, money changer, metro station and restaurants.
First day in Tbilisi, Georgia
We arrived at the Shota Rustaveli Tbilisi International Airport and met our tour coordinator, Ms. Geraldine from G7 Euro Travel and Tours or you can find their facebook account: Kabayans and Pinoys in Tbilisi, Georgia.

We also bought sim card at the airport for 3 gel and 9 gel for 10 minutes call and 4gb of data. Cheap, right?!

Georgian Lari/Gel money. :)

Finally we're arrived at our Hotel. London Palace Hotel.

their lobby.

The Hotel have different style of their rooms but this bathroom caught my attention so we chose this room. (I didn't had the chance to take a picture of the bed 'cause we already scattered all of our things.)
📷
so after we fixed our things, we went outside to look for a money changer and bought some things that we need and I saw this one and really want to try it. They called it a Churchkela, it's a candle shaped candy that has grape must, nuts and flour and bought it for 2 gel. And when we opened it, it's really hard to eat that it can break your teeth. lol. I asked our tour guide if the Churchkela is really hard to eat, but she told us that it's cold and old so much better if we will bought it in some areas that really selling fresh Churchkela. So don't buy this in some mini stores, or else, the tooth fairy will look for you! lol. :D
📷
Afterwards, we saw a restaurant near to the Hotel, (I don't know the English name of the Hotel so I just take a picture of the entrance.)
📷
When we entered at the restaurant, we thought that they're having a catering or event because of the table set-up But it was a mistake, it's really an open restaurant. But just a reminder that most of the Georgian people doesn't know how to speak English so if you're planning to order a food in a restaurant, you should have a photo of the food or a tour guide.
📷
We ordered Mtsvadi pork barbeque (Barbecue meat is very popular here in Georgia both as a family meal and also at feasts and celebrations) and for an additional info, it's a freshly cooked meat so you can taste the juice and tenderness of the meat.
📷
Khinkali, is a Georgian soup dumpling that has a meat inside and it's one of the best food here in Georgia. My first impression was it looks like a big siomai but its really hard to eat it because of the soup inside of it. But here's the technique how to eat it, if you know how to eat a "Balot" that is the same way I ate Khinkali. Simple as that. :)

Chashnagiri Restaurant
Our travel coordinator invited us to have our dinner in a restaurant that has Georgian performers who sing & dance. The name of the restaurant is Chashnagiri. They have a complimentary bread that can be your appetizers as well.
📷
Our tour guide recommended this appetizer cuisine, Cesar Salad with Salmon and it only costs 14 gel. And to tell you the truth, it is really recommendable! The salmon was so fresh even the vegetables. The dressing gives an additional good taste for the salad.
📷
The best bread I've ever tasted! Kachapuri's! This bread is one of the famous Georgian dishes and it is filled with cheese, egg & more cheese! and it only costs 9 gel and good for 4 persons.
📷
This is also a Kachapuri but in a different style. It has an egg & cheese on top and also has more cheese on the inside that really makes me so addictive on this bread. Don't miss to try this in Georgia, it's really delicious and superb!
📷
Photo below: Pork BBQ on tsalami per stick good for 2 pax for 11 gel. Meat Bbq is also one of the famous dishes in Georgia. I was looking for a rice but they do not serve rice even other restaurant, it's also delicious but it will be more exciting if it has rice, too.
📷
And they also served in-house wine for 6 gel in 1 litre! So for those who loves wine and beers, you should visit Georgia and for sure that you will probably enjoy every each single day of your stay.
📷
There's an additional entertainment so you can really enjoy your dinner (although the food was really good!) First was the traditional Georgian dance which is we're so lucky that we've seen this in person and not just in Television, and after that, a continuous songs of the live band. A great place to hang out with family and friends and meeting new people. :)
📷
Before we leave, there's a bunch of beautiful ladies on the back of our table, and yeah I admit, all of them are really gorgeous so I asked them that if it's okay if they can have a picture with Raf, and voila! And not just only pictures, Raf got kisses from these ladies! My husband is so jealous to Raf. Hahaha! Lucky boy! :D
📷
Well, I'm just starting to share our Georgia vacay but it feels like I've been sharing these for days! lol. =D Just wait and there's more! :)
