27th October 2017

This day was our first visit in the Hospital since we started traveling, because Rafael was so sick and we have no choice to cancel all our trips for this day and straight forward to the nearest Hospital from our Hotel, San Giovanni HospitalRafael was vomiting and having a diarrhea so the Doctor prescribe to give him a Sodium chloride, also known as salt or halite.

While being treated in the emergency room, we thought that we’re almost done but later on the nurse calls for an ambulance to transfer us to the children’s hospital near in Vatican city, Bambino Gesu HospitalChad & I was so worried for Raf but we need to be strong for him and we prayed a lot for his fast recovery. Look at his face, he can’t even smil

We spent our night in Bambino Gesu hospital while he was continuously taking the medicine. He’s not allowed to eat or drink so he can recover quickly.

After a few hours he can already smile again and we we’re so relieved!

Finally the doctor told us he can eat bread to check if he will not vomit or having a bowel movement and we’re so glad he’s already fine now and we’re about to go back to our Hotel! Yey!

The doctor gave us a medical letter for us since we will fly to Barcelona on the next day so if ever it will happen again we can show this letter that he already take a medicine in Rome. And did I mention that we didn’t pay any medical bills? Yes! It’s totally free although we have our travel insurance but it still important for us travelers who have the travel insurance for emergency purposes while we we’re traveling.

Anyway, we didn’t had the chance to take pictures with the nurses because we we’re so tired and lack of sleep but they are so very helpful although most of them doesn’t speak English. THANK YOU SO MUCH!

Have you been admitted to any Hospitals? Did you have a travel insurance? How was it? Share your stories on my blog for giving us some tips for our future purposes. (if any. but hopefully this will be the LAST!)
