Bonjour!

Before we start our day tour, Chad went outside to look for something to eat and here they are, (photo below) Total of 18 euros (77 Qatari riyals). Honestly, everything in Paris is expensive so make sure that you have a pocket money for your everyday needs. We mostly went to groceries rather than eating in a fancy restaurant because we’re limiting our budget. Chad also bought some snacks to eat while we’re on traveling the city so no need to look for a one stop shop and spend again. (Spending money is more exhausting than walking all day! Haha!)

📷

This is the basic metro ticket which is a small piece of cardboard with magnetic strip. We purchase a carnet of 10 tickets for 14.50 euros which is you can save money than purchasing the singular ticket that cost 1.90 euros. There’s a vending machine in Denfert Rochereau station near to our Hotel for about 2 mins walk.

CHAMP DE MARS

HOW TO GET THERE: From Denfert Rochereau station, Take Metro Line 6 then drop at Dupleix Station and take exit at Rue Desaix. A 10-15 minutes walk from Dupleix station going to Champ De Mars.

We arrived at Champ De Mars around 11 am and the weather is cold and calm. If you are a nature lover or want to release all your stress on negative things or just want to have a glass of wine with your partner and relax, this is the perfect place for you. Yes it’s crowded but a really huge park since Champ de Mars is open to the public and the closest spot in Eiffel Tower. You can lie down anywhere you wanted, have picnic, drink wine or beer or even kiss on the public but no one really cares! There’s a lot of perfect view in Champ de Mars to take some photos with the Eiffel tower and here are some of our photos.

📷

We don’t give any instruction to Raf to go here, go there and smile. He automatically go to the spot he wanted and show the best cutest smile he got! (I’m not joking! He is just a 2 year old boy who already know how to give a pose! hahaha!)

You normally seen a lot of living statue around paris and this is one of them. My inlaws looks scared but still have guts to smile.

BOAT RIDING IN PARIS

HOW TO GET THERE: From Champ de Mars going to Pont d’ Lena bridge will take 10 minutes of walking.

This is one of the must to do list if you have a short visit in Paris. You can book your tickets online HERE but you can also buy your tickets direct to them. 15 euros and an hour boat riding is not bad after all. It’s really worth to try guys.

📷

The boat have an open upper deck and equipped glass covered main deck that also have a mini bar inside for you to buy some drinks or snacks.

📷

The  cruise have commentary in 3 languages, French, Spanish and English.

📷

Here are some of the views we passed by. We didn’t had the chance to see the whole tour because the rain comes by so we went quickly inside at the main deck.

After the sightseeing cruise, we passed by to have some coffee and try this Vin chaud hot wine. I never tried a “HOT” wine before. Vin Chaud is one of the traditional wine in Europe and best to try on winter or autumn. A good substitute for a hot coffee/hot chocolate.

📷

If you are traveling with elders, walking is their best exercise but make sure you have time to stopped by to let them rest for a bit. If you’re out and about, take advantage of the city’s sparkling drinking fountains that are open to public. Yes, it’s 101% clean!

ALEXANDER BRIDGE

How to get there: From the sightseeing cruise going to Alexander bridge will take 25 minutes walking.

It is known as one of the most beautiful river crossings in the World. Here are so many sculptural details on this bridge, it is hard to even take pictures of all of them, like this little sculpture at the base of the pillars. There are two lions on each side of the bridge. The lions groups are by Georges Gardet.

📷

Four gilt-bronze statues of Fames watch over the bridge, supported on massive 17-meter columns that provide stabilizing counterweight for the arch, without interfering with monumental views.

📷

Crossing the bridge by foot takes you on a stroll through what might be thought of as Paris’ premiere open-air (en plein air) museum, with an array of masterful sculptures: lions, cherubs, nymphs, maidens, cupids, water spirits, fish, scalloped seashells, and sea monsters.

This is the side of the center and passing by the pedestrians and traffic.

ARC DE TRIOMPHE

How to get there:  25 mins walking from the Alexander bridge to Arc de Triomphe. (We only did is walking and the same thing we also enjoy all the views.)

We arrived at the Arc de triomphe before sunset and this is the best live backdrop i’d ever seen. Measuring 164 feet tall, the Arc de Triomphe is one of the historic landmarks in Paris and it was envisioned as a dedication by Napoleon to his troops for their hard won victory at the battle of Austerlitz in 1809. The Arc de Triomphe is now dedicated to glory of the French army and honors important battles, generals and victories in France’s military history.

📷

You can go at the rooftop of Arc de triomphe by buying your tickets online HERE.

📷

There were a lot of stairs just to go to the top so we didn’t bought any tickets and really hard for us since we have a stroller to carry. If you just want to get closer in the Triomphe just like what we did, there’s an underground walkway from the Avenue Champs-Elysées or Grande Armée.

Up close at the Arc de Triomphe.

📷

There’s a saying that, there will be a rainbow always after the rain. Here it is! So beautiful! <3

📷

Raf says: “Mommy there’s a rainbow!” This is the first time he saw a real rainbow and look at his facial reaction! PRICELESS! Haha!

📷

If you’re looking for the Qatar Embassy, you can easily find it here in Arc de Triomphe and very near to the Metro Line 6.
