After Raf’s first birthday celebration (29 May) Together with Chad’s family, we had a chance to visit one of the popular beach in the Philippines, BORACAY!
We booked our tickets at Cebu Pacific website for Php10,232.00 (3 adults & 1 infant). Our departure time was 9:00am & it’s only 1 hour travel going to the Caticlan.
📷
Just arrived in Caticlan! =)
📷
We didn’t purchase the Hotel’s airport transfer ’cause it’s quite expensive so we avail the affordable one. DIY – Do It Yourself. First, we ride a tricycle (you can ask the people there, but they will advice you to take Hotel’s van but to inform you that they’re just promoting or whatsoever or an additional profits for them.)
Well anyway, we ride the tricycle from the Caticlan airport going to the Port for Php50.00.
📷
Arrived at the Port & we payed for Environmental Fee for Php100.00 & Terminal Fee for Php75.00 per head.

While we’re on our way going to our boat, there’s a guy who’s promoting his Hotel, Astoria Boracay. He told us that if we take it, there will be just a simple orientation we need to attend & we’re having a Free Lunch Buffet good for 4 adults. Seriously? I love buffet especially if it’s FREE. Well, I will tell you later what happened…
📷
So there’s our boat going to the Island of Boracay & it will take only 10 minutes or less.
📷
Inside the boat, they have a life vest for each passengers for safety if it’s needed.

After we arrived at the Island of Boracay, we take another ride of Tricycle direct to our Hotel. From there going to the Cool Stay Inn costs Php60.00
We arrived at our accommodation, Cool Stay Inn. It’s located at the Station 2. We avail it thru Agoda.com for PHP 14,966.54 good for 4 Days & 3 Nights. It’s a Family room with Balcony that can accommodate by 7 adults & 1 Child Free of Charge age 6 years below. But we are total of 8 adults & 5 Kids. But guess what, we still payed at the same amount. Cool right? But here’s the simple tip HOW:
– Just tell the receptionist that you have a Tripadvisor account and you’re gonna give the Hotel a positive feedback and a 5 star rating. Voila! That’s it! And an additional info, they informed us that it’s much cheaper if we avail the Booking directly to them not thru any Hotel booking website. And they also have a business partner who offer tour packages so if you want to enjoy your vacay, get the most out of it! =)
Photo below is the Family room with Balcony. I just got this picture from Tripadvisor ’cause I didn’t had a chance to take pictures of the room.
Family room includes 2 rooms, 1 bathroom, kitchen & terrace. Good thing they provide kitchen utensils & a fridge.

Here’s the other room which has a Television too.
📷
The Balcony, where we can have some coffee in the morning.
📷
And the dining area. They also have a good Wi-Fi access.

Do you still remember the guy I mention who’s promoting his Hotel? well here it is. First we had a great lunch of course it’s free! After we finished our meal, one of the manager told us that they need us to go in the Station 1 of they’re new Hotel. So me & chad have no clue what’s going on but we still keep moving on. When we arrived to their Hotel, they directed us to a one Big room full of people with their salesperson whom I feel that there’s something’s fishy. So to make the story short, they offering us to avail their membership blah blah blah for the amount of, well I forgot how much is it ’cause I have no clue & I do not care at all. So for you guys, if you are planning to travel by DIY and someone offers you like this, DON’T EVER TAKE IT! We spent 2 hours for nothing!
📷
Well after Chad & I spent hours for nothing, we directly went to the Bulabog Beach & enjoy the rest of the day.
📷
Each of us have different activities, swimming, doing sand castle, drinking beers & gazing at the stars.
📷
It’s a very tiring day but at least, we enjoyed each second of the day!
